Well, despite not sharing the constantly sunny climes of Brit favourites like Costa Blanca, a golf and villa development has opened up just 30 minutes from the city centre of Barcelona, and foreign property investors across the globe are likely to follow suit.
 
The luxury of Les Viles del Golfe in Barcelona doesn't come cheap, though, with property prices starting from £490,000. One British company is aiming to give Brits a helping hand in the property search process in the historic city of Barcelona. IntoBarcelona.com has launched a property search service, organising a selection of property for potential buyers to see, as well as providing advice about finance and the legal process.
 
Director Carrie Frais enthuses, "Property prices have gone up an incredible 15 per cent in the last year in Barcelona, and despite claims that the market would cool down, it hasn't happened. Barcelona is such a desirable place to live or visit that property will continue to be hotly sought after, even when the economy is not in full swing."
