Big Spanish property project still on track
Andrew Collier provides a progress report on a large-scale property project under construction on the Costa de la Luz, in the south-western corner of Spain
Since the Costa Esuri development broke ground in 2003, there have been 3,000 properties finished and two 18-hole golf courses designed by Jose Canales.
The development has been split into zones, consisting of sporting, commercial, residential property and hotels. The commercial area will have a large supermarket, bars, restaurants and boutique shopping.
Director of Titan Properties, Andrew Benitz, thinks that the long wait for completion of this project will be worth it: "The majority of development infrastructure is now in place at Costa Esuri," he comments, "The developers are now investing heavily in lanscaping to the tune of 600,000 euros, planting hundreeds of trees and plants around the site."
When the Costa Esuri development is finished it will have a large marina capable of holding super yachts and also be home to a spa and nautical club.
Titan Properties claim that Costa Esuri is the fastest-selling golf development in Spain. Benitz continues: "Everyone knew Coast Esuri was an ambitious project that would take years to build out but I am continually impressed by ongoing progress each time I make a site visit."
The Costa Esuri development is situated close to the Portugese border on the River Guadiana with prices starting at 160,000 for a two-bedroom villa and 194,000 for a two-bedroom townhouse.
The nearest Spanish airport is situated in Seville about an hour away from Costa Esuri. In 2012, a new airport will be finished at Huelva.
